This page is for planning the 2018 Elderberries Salon during Pride Week
- Date: Sunday, 22 July, 2018, 2-6pm (I think, time might be off by an hour)
- Location: Gallery, back of Plan B, Gottingen St
Here are several variants of the original proposal
Planning
- Catering: we will want at least one foody person on deck at all times
- Idea 1: we continuously order in from a nearby restaurant (e.g. Backpacker's.) Will require someone to go get the food. More expensive.
- Idea 2: We buy boxes of frozen hors d'ouvres and the volunteer just continuously heats and serves 'em.
- Liquor License: It would be great if we could get a special event permit and
- get someone else (e.g. Manna, Youth Project, I dunno) to sell booze for cheap or
- get an Elderberries member to staff the bar and keep the $$ for ourselves
Can we get Chris Aucoin's History Display? 2018-05-29 Dan has emailed Chris- Brainstorm on room layout. The model: imagine a teepee: elders together, a "fire" in the middle, people listening on the other side of the fire.
- Record the stories for posterity
- Do we need bridge funding?
- Get a sample Safe Spaces document from Adam
- Ditto Active Listener training powerpoint
