Should the immediate past chair decline or be unable to fill the position, the Board may either choose to leave the position unfilled, or offer it to any previous Past Chair. This position may not be combined with any other Board position. Duties of the Past Chair : * provides organizational continuity and historical perspective * attends and participates in meetings of the Board and of the membership * represents Elderberries in meetings with other organizations, if requested by the Board * Currently : Lynn ===Phone "Tree"=== * Calls the handful of members who have asked to be phoned as requested. * Currently: ===Second Sunday Salon Hosts=== * Runs the salon according to the document [[RunningASalon|Running A Salon]] ===Secretary=== * Records meeting notes and makes them available to the Board * Sends out notices * Responds to email queries (only a handful per month.) * Currently: Dan ===Social Media Editor=== * Posts notices to social media * Responds to queries that come in from that channel * Currently: Dan ===Speaker's Bureau Coordinator=== * Responds to requests for speakers * Contacts volunteer speakers and chooses the team for a particular event * Takes the initiative to contact potential audiences and coordinate events * Very common dialog: <pre> educator: Are you available 3:00-4:00pm on Monday, Wednesday or Friday three months from now? us: yes eductor: No I mean, which of those are you available for? us: all of them educator: Which works better? us: none, they’re all the same, just pick one educator: Well, how about a Wednesday? us: sure educator: But which Wednesday? us: It doesn’t matter. … and so on :-) Doing it by email is an extremely protracted process. </pre> * Currently: Allison ===Treasurer=== * Keeps track of income and expenses * Reports on them at every meeting * Answers questions as required * Treasurer makes sure that there is separation of financial duties * Currently: Kaitlin
