In April 2019, Capital Health’s prideHealth and the Elderberries administered a healthcare system concerns and problems survey to a LGBT+ Elders population of approximately 700; 37 responses were received. In general, people were fairly content with their health care and had not experienced homophobia. Five topics came up several times: * Difficulty of getting a doctor; * Lgbt friendly supportive housing; * Cost of medications; * Not wanting to use walk in clinics; and * Enforced shortness of visits to one’s GP.
