Notes of Elderberries meeting, 2011-01-31. Location: Nick & Tuma's Place Present: Nick, Tuma, Anita, Dan (notes) AWOL: Lynn, JJ. ===February 6 Event=== Who should moderate the meeting on the 6th? Lynn should be participating, not moderating. Possible moderators: * Norval * J.J. Lyon * Dan's friend Joanne Cook * Diane Rowe DAN will create a Facebook event for the Spirit Place public meeting. EACH OF THE ELDERBERRIES BOARD will bring a big pot of something. Dan will bring buttermilk cornmeal bread. DAN will record. NICK & ANITA will work the door. LYNN will do the "presentitng" of the speaker. DAN will bring data projector. NICK & TUMA will give a photo to be the Speaker's Gift. # We set up chairs, A/V equipment etc. # People Show up # We welcome them # LYNN introduces the Elderberries; event co-sponsored by Wayves & Elderberries # LYNN introduces the speaker, Louisa Horne and moderator Norval Collins # Speaker will do 30 - 40 minute presentation # Maybe 1/2 hour of questions # LYNN thanks the speaker and moderator & presents gifts # Feast Wayves can sponsor some beverages. ===February 20 Event=== February 20th, 2pm - 5pm Event theme: photo memories. We should plan for the Elderberries boardmembers to bring enough photos -- maybe five each - to talk about in case there is a shortage of photos. DAN will bring his computer and data projector (do we need a screen?) TUMA & NICK will bring their scanner. TUMA will scan the pics and hand them to Dan, Dan wili show a picture and people will talk about it. LYNN will invite people to bring their pictures on USB drive if they can - if they can't, we'll scan them for you. ===March Event=== Financial advice & discussion. ANITA will ask Debbie Mathers to talk about taxes for maybe 15 minutes, then social time. ===Future=== Possible future topics: * photography, * inexpensive cooking for one or two, * some kind of physio person to talk about exercise * herb walk Some people won't be interested in doing every activity; that's OK. ===Next Meeting=== Next meeting: February 28th, 7:00 - 9:00pm
