Date of event: June 9, 2024

There are two plans, Plan A & Plan B.

Either event should have... say.. three volunteers. We'll ask the Remembering Raymond Taavel FB page and the elderberries for volunteers.

We call Plan A or Plan B at 10:45AM on Sunday. At 11:00AM, Dan updates

• the H•R•E event notice here
• the Facebook event AND
• sends out an email to elderberries-all

Plan A: good weather for a picnic.

• Location: Raymond Taavel Park
• There is no need to officially book the park via Halifax Parks & Recreation
• Setup starts at 12:30 - chairs, tables, beverages & BBQ
• Volunteers take turns at the BBQ
• People show up at 1:00
• We do the program (below)
• People can leave at, say 4:00pm
• Pack up stuff at 4:30

Plan B: bad weather, no picnic

• Location our regular space at Northwood
• Setup starts at 12:30
• We will not be able to cook anything.
• Volunteers handle the front door, the raffle etc.
• People show up at 1:00
• We do the program (below)
• People can leave at, say 3:45
• Pack up stuff at 4:00

• Gather, get snacks, get comfortable
• Call to order

• Welcome
• Short speech, maybe by Lynn or Darren
• Anyone may come to the mic to share a story of someone who has inspired you or perform a song
  • Lynn: story about the first time she saw someone with a pink triangle on — Robin
• Cake Cutting
• Social time
