Raymond Taavel Birthday Party

There are two plans, Plan A & Plan B.

Either event should have... say.. three volunteers. We'll ask the Remembering Raymond Taavel FB page and the elderberries for volunteers.

We call Plan A or Plan B at 10:45AM on Sunday. Dan updates the event notice here AND the Facebook event.

Plan A: good weather for a picnic.

• Location: Raymond Taavel Park
• We are not going to officially book the park via Halifax Parks & Recreation
• Setup starts at 12:30 - chairs, tables, beverages & BBQ
• People show up at 1:00
• We do the program (below)
• People can leave at, say 4:00pm
• Pack up stuff at 4:30

Plan B: bad weather, no picnic

• Location our regular space at Northwood
• Setup starts at 12:30
• We will not be able to cook anything.
• People show up at 1:00
• We do the program (below)
• People can leave at, say 3:45
• Pack up stuff at 4:00

Program

• Gather, get snacks, get comfortable
• Call to order
• Land Ack
• Welcome
• Short speech, maybe by Lynn or Darren
• Anyone may come to the mic to speak or perform a song
• Cake Cutting
• Social time
