Gee's Banana Bread

made banana bread, was aight. Doubled the butter for the next batch, was real good. Tweaked a few things over the next couple recipes and called it done.

Ingredients

4 cupsflour
2 tspbaking soda
1 tspsalt
half dozenborderline-rotten bananas
1 cupmelted butter
1.5 cupssugar
4 largeeggs
⅔ cupmilk
2 tspvanilla
1 shotdark rum
2 cupschocolate chips

Bust Out

two large bread pans
stand mixer

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350, grease two large bread pans
  2. Whisk together flour/baking soda/salt, set aside
  3. Cut borderline-rotten bananas in half lengthwise, then cut into chunks
  4. Whip together melted butter/sugar in a stand mixer till fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time.
  6. Beat in 3 of the 6 bananas.
  7. Mix together the milk, vanilla, and dark rum and beat in
  8. Add the flour/soda/salt and mix it in, make sure it's still a little lumpy
  9. Add remaining bananas and chocolate chips and mix those in until they're just mixed in.
  10. Pour into bread pans, bake 30-40 minutes until you get a clean toothpick OR an instant read thermometer reads 98C/208F.
