I got my iPhone a few months ago, was gradually loading it up with applicatons; this is the navigation app I used for the trip, Motion-X Drive. The iPhone was also used for taking notes, fetching contact info for friends and relatives we'd be visiting, keeping in touch on Facebook, texts, and MSN, checking the weather, taking pictures, recording gas mileage, listening to the radio at night, a flashlight, and, yes, once or twice for a phone call.

Gabe didn't mind too much going on a trip with an iPhone.

I made the motorcycle mount a few days before we left.
