Dan pooched mars (by accidentally hitting ^C in the middle of a kernel patch while drunk and tired) on 2010-10-05. The system would get stalled after the "SunOS Release 5.10 Version... All rights reserved" page, before "Hostname: mars" got printed. zfs filesystems: rpool/tesla rpool/venus_old rpool/export rpool/export/home rpool/zone It got rebuilt by: * [x] booting into failsafe mode which mounts rpool on /a/rpool/ * [x] put a zfs filesystem on external usb, called "usb" * [x] do a zfs send|receive to external USB drive for rpool/root (useless) and rpool/tesla * [x] do a cd /a/rpool ; tar cf - * | (cd /tmp/usb ; tar vxf - ) # which ran for several days * [x] installed new Solaris 10/09 * [x] installed jass (but didn't run it) * [x] installed the cluster patch (197 patches) * [x] zfs upgrade rpool * [x] zfs import -f usb * [x] ran pci patching (213 patches) * [x] install pkg-get * [x] install rsync * jass ** [x] run [[jass]] server-secure.driver & reboot ** [ ] document the obnoxious parts of [[jass]] that we always back out ** [ ] do the backouts * copy back ** [x] /export/home ** [x] /tesla has been moved to /export/tesla ** [ ] /zone ** [ ] /venus_old (and rename to /venus) /opt/csw/bin/rsync -v -v --archive /tmp/mars_all/export/home/ /export/home/
