HowTo Put A Zone On A Different Network

If you want to put a zone on a different network from the global:

In the global zone:

• Plumb the interface if necessary. Do not create a subinterface or put an IP number on it; the zone will do that when it boots.
• Add a netmask for the IP in the global zone /etc/netmasks
• If necessary, add the default route for the new network in /etc/defaultgateway
