Dual Home A Zone

Dan says: I am not 100% sure that you need an IP number in the global container, on the network you have on a zone - but it's all good.

• you will need a name and IP for the global zone, and then each additional zone you want to dual-home
• and update the /etc/hosts file in the container, and
• e.g. /etc/hostname.qfe1 with the hostname on that network
• use zonecfg to add a network for that zone

 bash-3.00# zonecfg -z mercury 
 zonecfg:mercury> add net
 zonecfg:mercury:net> set address=216.83.3.221/27 
 zonecfg:mercury:net> set physical=nge0
 zonecfg:mercury:net> set defrouter=216.83.3.193
 zonecfg:mercury:net> info

Now, add the new interface to mercury

 ifconfig nge0 addif 71.7.183.108 netmask 255.255.255.240 zone mercury up
