Notes for Joseph "Walton" / Waldron Tuttle Jr.
Massachusetts very first blind State Representative.
Elbert: He disliked the "Jr." and used the name J. Walton Tuttle. My father was blinded in a hunting accident in 1909 at age 15. He went to Perkins Institute for the blind, graduated from Framingham High School, graduated from Bowdoin College in 1917 and Harvard Law School in 1920. He practiced law in Framingham from 1920 until his death in 1977.
MKM has a letter from him in Nov. 1972. Said his mother died when he was a small child and told him she had lived with her grandfather. He remembered James Squarebriggs visiting the home before she died.
Stan Johnson uses the name “Waldron”
