my family comes from Terence Bay, NS. My father's family anyway. His
dad was a slaunwhite and so was his mom (maiden). We traced the
family tree back to Josef Slaggenwydt or Schlaggenwydt from the
1800's i believe. He came over on the ship "Alice" way back when. He
had two sons there in Lunenburg and the Slaunwhites' /Slauenwhites'
expanded from there. I have never been to Lunenburg, yet, anyway. My
family, my mom and two brothers are in Moncton, NB. My dad and his
partner are in Halifax. I haven't been back to Halifax since my son
Josh was 7-8. My red-headed brother and his red-headed wife and their
three red-headed kids live in Burton, NB, just outside of
Oromocto/Base Gagetown. We grew up there from our teens as our dad
was in the forces and retired there.
