MemoUterine cancer, "Survived by five first cousins: Arthur and Leonard Cooper, John and
David Chesman and Barbara J. Murtagh as well as three second cousins:
Connie Marie Cooper, Kelly and Keri Cooper. Known affectionately as
'Lady Di', she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her contribution to the Arts and Gardening Community in her native
born Vancouver will be missed. She dedicated her life to her work
and to the Visual Arts. During Diana's 39 years at UBC her inspiring
nature influenced both students and faculty for all that she knew and
cared of. She enkindled many aperson's spirit in the day to day
workings at UBC. She was an active contributor to the Van Dusen
Botanical Garden Association; an award-winning gardener whose classic
English garden will be remembered by all; a beautiful craftswoman
with a keen sense of detail in every art form that she produced. Her
sense of perfection in all her needlework, sewing, entertaining and
design was recognized and appreciated by everyone she knew. Her
appreciation for creativity was also evident in all of her life's
endeavours. her support and praise to others and her joy in the good
work and in the splendor of nature was unique, rare and will be
relished by those who knew her. She will be truly missed by friends,
family and colleagues for her keen spirit, generous heart, and
tremendous sense of humour. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the
Van Dusen Botanical Garden Association or a charity of your choice.

And a wee bit about "moi". I have red hair (Is that from Red Dan?). I am a very keen gardener, artist and musician. My garden was included in Gardens of Vancouver. Vancouver: Rainforest, 2000.
Diana graduates from UBC in 1964 (undergraduate) and 1965 (graduate).
Starts working as a Fine Arts Librarian at UBC in 1965.
Marries Wilhelm Gustav Kraetschmer in 1969. Divorces in 1980. No children.
