C’est avec une immense tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Mme Mélanie Pitre, survenu au Percy’s Place de Miramichi, le mardi 17 septembre 2024, à l’âge de 93 ans. Elle était l’épouse de feu Richard Pitre de Collette. Née le 26 novembre 1930, elle était la fille de feu Eloi King et de feu Emma Bulger.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses quatre filles : Claudine , Maria, Lucille (Ronald ) et Julie (Paul); ses cinq fils : Roger (Ginette), Normand (Elise), Yvon (Annette), Arnel (Bella) et Laurie (Francine); son frère, Emile (Jeanne); ses 16 petits-enfants; ses 16 arrière-petits-enfants; ses deux beaux-frères : Rhéal Arseneault (feu Aurore) et Lucien Arseneault (feu Blondine); ses trois belles-sœurs : Alice (feu Alfred), Dale (feu Abel) et Julie (feu Rhéal), de nombreux beaux-frères et belles-sœurs de la famille Pitre; son filleul, Louis Gallant, ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et amis.
Elle a été précédée dans la tombe par ses parents; son époux, son fils, Donald « Tinal »; son petit-fils, Kevin; ses cinq sœurs : Aurore, Cécile, Blondine, Bella et Marie-Anne, ainsi que ses trois frères : Alfred, Abel et Rhéal.

Felicia spent 17 years working with UPS; after they closed their local office, she decided to return to study, because of her love for nursing care she was a Patient Care Attendant at the Moncton Hospital for many years, she most recently worked from home for Purolator. She loved camping, boating and time at the beach. Growing up she loved time spent on the farm and tending to the horses. She enjoyed Skidooing, gardening and most of all time spent with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 34 years, Tim Geldart; children, Alicia Hossack (Tim) and Brandan Geldart; grandchildren, Matthew Pitre, Mitchel Pitre, TJ Fisher and Liam Middleton; sisters, Darlene Harvey (Mike) and Christal Hossack-Ries (Jason); niece, Lexie Ries; nephews, Corey Baldwin and Xander Ries; as well as her Geldart Family and other extended family and friends.
A time to gather and share memories of Felicia will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm from Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995).

Il a obtenu un B.Sc.Comm. de l’Université de Moncton en 1972 et a récemment contribué à mettre sur pied un fonds de bourse pour étudiants en commerce. Jacques a aussi été entrepreneur, ayant cofondé deux entreprises, Marco Polo Deli et Robilan, une maison d’importation de vins. Il a œuvré au sein du conseil d’administration de Curl Moncton, a supervisé son expansion, et a organisé de nombreux championnats. Il a été directeur de production et médias pour le Championnat Mondial Masculin de Curling en 2009 et il a siégé à la direction du Championnat Canadien de Curling inaugural des moins de 18 ans en 2019. Jacques était un grand lecteur et voyageur, un amateur du sport et un golfeur. Il confectionnait des desserts dignes des cuisines des grands restaurants, mais surtout il était mari dévoué et père chaleureux.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse depuis 48 ans, Karen Côté-Robichaud; une fille, Julie Doucette (Mario) de Moncton; un fils, Denis (Viveca) de South Bend, Indiana; une petite-fille, Iris; neuf frères et sœurs: Jean-Maurice (Denise Hubley), Gisèle (Michel Gagné), Pierre (Solange Bourgoin), Marc, René (Lucille Wedge), Paul (Cécile Frenette), Charles (Annette Després), Lise (Paul Gaudet), et Joël; ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux.

He was an amazing son, brother, and friend and will be missed greatly by all lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, Colin is survived by his sister, Shannon Williams (Shaun) of Harvey; nephew, Brody Williams; nieces, Ember and Scarlett Williams; aunts, Gizele McCarthy (Mike), and Kimberly MacDonald both of Fredericton; uncles, Reginald Caissie (Doris) of Rogersville, and Chris MacDonald (Jane) of Saint John, as well as many cousins and extended family.

Michel (Michael) R. Gagné , of Fort Lauderdale, passed away on September 1, 2026.
He was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on July 23, 1949, to Irenée and Georgette Gagné. He was the middle child with two brothers and two sisters. He started working at a young age at his father's restaurant and hotel.
Michel earned his MBA from the University of Western Ontario. On September 2, 1972, he married his Gisèle Robichaud in Moncton, New Brunswick. Together, they built a life centered on family. Beginning in Mississauga, Ontario and ending in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Michel forged a distinguished career in commercial real estate, working as a broker with The Keyes Company for 36 years. He served as President of the Society of Commercial Realtors of Greater Fort Lauderdale and was a member of CCIM.
Michel was preceded in death by his parents, Irenée and Georgette Gagné, and his older brother, Jean.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Gisèle Gagné; his children, Jean-Pierre, Patrick and Mimi (Avi); his grandchildren, Taylor (Leticia), Mia, Amy, Emma and Ava; and his great-grandchildren, Caleb and Noah.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Willa Elizabeth Geldart, who passed away on April 5, 2026, at the Monarch Hall with her family by her side. She was married to Dennis Geldart for over 50 years. Willa was born in Miramichi, NB, to the late Bernard and Hildred (nee Mullin) Baisley.
Willa was a beautiful, kind-hearted, and deeply loving woman—a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cherished friend, and Christian. Her gentle spirit and thoughtful nature touched everyone who knew her. A truly beautiful soul, she will be remembered always for her warmth, compassion, and quiet strength that carried through every part of her life.
She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially camping, baking, knitting, and sewing – but what made these passions truly special was how she shared them with others. Willa not only shared her creations, but she also loved to teach her loved ones her many skills.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Dennis; her sons, Darryl, Tim, and Terry (Lori); her sister, Evelyn Baisley; her grandchildren, Dylan, Erica, Brandan, and Alicia; her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, TJ, and Liam; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, Willa was predeceased by her son, Gabriel, her daughter-in-law Felicia, and several brothers and sisters.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Willa Elizabeth Geldart, who passed away on April 5, 2026, at the Monarch Hall with her family by her side. She was married to Dennis Geldart for over 50 years. Willa was born in Miramichi, NB, to the late Bernard and Hildred (nee Mullin) Baisley.
Willa was a beautiful, kind-hearted, and deeply loving woman—a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cherished friend, and Christian. Her gentle spirit and thoughtful nature touched everyone who knew her. A truly beautiful soul, she will be remembered always for her warmth, compassion, and quiet strength that carried through every part of her life.
She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially camping, baking, knitting, and sewing – but what made these passions truly special was how she shared them with others. Willa not only shared her creations, but she also loved to teach her loved ones her many skills.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Dennis; her sons, Darryl, Tim, and Terry (Lori); her sister, Evelyn Baisley; her grandchildren, Dylan, Erica, Brandan, and Alicia; her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, TJ, and Liam; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, Willa was predeceased by her son, Gabriel, her daughter-in-law Felicia, and several brothers and sisters.

Moncton, NB – C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès d’Adélyre Goguen, 79 ans, le jeudi 6 juin 2024 à l’hospice de la Maison Albert. Né à Cocagne, NB, il était le fils d’Edmond Goguen et de Rose (Melanson) Goguen.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée, Janice Robichaud-Goguen ; ses deux fils : Denis Goguen (Kathleen), de Riverview, et Serge Goguen, de Moncton, son beau-fils Serge-André Comeau (Mélanie Daigle), de Shediac River, et sa belle-fille, Chantal Comeau (Ron), de Memramcook ; ses cinq petits-enfants : Selena, Etienne, Simon, Samuelle, Lucie, Guillaume et Damien, ainsi que ses trois soeurs : Germaine LeBlanc (Donald), de Shediac, Léa Poirier (feu Rodolphe), de Moncton, et Eva McSween (Bart), de Fredericton.
Outre ses parents, trois frères l’ont précédé : Donald, Armand et Lévi ; et deux sœurs : Stella et Lorraine.
Adélyre était aimé de tant de gens et avait toujours un geste ou un mot gentil pour tout le monde. Malgré ses problèmes de santé, il a persévéré année après année et s’est toujours renseigné sur les gens qui l’entouraient. Que ce soit en classe, à l’épicerie ou dans le quartier, Adélyre manifestait toujours un intérêt sincère pour ceux qui croisaient son chemin. Nous ne verrons plus jamais la Nascar, Bob Dylan, les Chicago Black Hawks ou les desserts de la même manière, car ces choses nous rappelleront toujours cette âme bienveillante avec laquelle nous avons eu la chance de partager notre vie. Puisses-tu reposer en paix, Adélyre.

Elle était l’épouse de feu Alexandre Savoie. Née le 27 juin 1938, elle était la fille de feu Siméon Caissie et de feu Eloise Brideau.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses sept filles : Gloria (Aldoria Robichaud), Georgina (Yvon Breau), Linda (Lloyd Mazerolle), Alida (Venance Richard), Gina (Vincent Cormier), Lissa (Denis Mazerolle) et Nada (Ronald Mazerolle); sa belle-fille, Joanne; ses 18 petits-enfants; ses 17arrière-petits-enfants; ses deux arrière-arrière-petits-enfants; ses deux belles-sœurs : Réjeanne et Anabelle, ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et amis.
Mme Savoie était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate.
Elle a été précédée dans la tombe par ses parents; son époux; son fils, Clarence; sa sœur, Marie-Ange, ainsi que ses frères : Sydney, Sylvain et Louis.
Mme Savoie avait un cœur rempli d’amour. Habile de ses mains, passionnée de la cuisine et de la couture. Elle adorait avoir de la visite surtout de ses enfants et petits-enfants. Elle sera manquée par plusieurs.
Il n’y aura pas de visites au salon funéraire. Les funérailles seront célébrées en l’église Saint-Bernard de Néguac, le jeudi 20 août 2026 à 14h.

The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of Phyllis Iona (Trites) Tower, at her home, The Briarlea on Ryan Street, Moncton, on Friday, September 4, 2026, one month after celebrating her 92nd birthday. Born on August 4, 1934, and raised in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Botsford and Sadie (Wilson) Trites.
Phyllis spent her long and beautiful life rooted in the Moncton community, where she built a home centered on love, family, and deep connection. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a joyful great-grandmother whose warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Arnold (Linda) Tower, and her daughter, Lynn (Rod) MacKenzie. She was the cherished grandmother of Troy, Tracey, Corey, Trevor, Meghan, Colin, and Kristin, and the proud great-grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many very special nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a dear place in her heart.
“Nanny” was predeceased by her beloved husband, Elmer Tower (2020); her infant son, Keith; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Alda, Ora and Marie, Oram and Etta, Vince and Yvonne, Hazen and Ellen; and her sister and brother-in-law, Myra and Johnny Steeves.
Phyllis had a 35-year career with NBTEL, retiring as a telephone operator and supervisor. Her life was never defined by just one role. She was a dedicated mother and an avid volunteer with the Canadian Order of Foresters, Hillside Church, and The Moncton Curlers Association.
She was a curler, a bowler, a traveller, a hostess, a community-minded neighbour, and a loyal friend. Somehow, she managed to fill her life—and the lives of everyone around her—with activity, connection, and love.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Rd Moncton, NB (506-858-1995) on Thursday, September 10 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, followed immediately by a service to Celebrate Phyllis’ life at 3:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
