It is with heavy hearts that the family of Colin Scott Reginald MacDonald of Moncton, NB, announce his passing on Friday, September 12, 2025. Born in Fredericton, NB, Colin was the beloved son of Louisianne Marie Rose (Caissie) and Scott Reginald MacDonald.
Colin was a highly accomplished Aircraft Engineer with a love for outdoor adventure. He cherished his family and made sure to visit on weekends where he’d share stories of his weekly work adventures and travels. He will be remembered for his vast knowledge of all things history, mechanics, and everything in between and for his passion for restoring classic cars with his father since he was child. He was an amazing son, brother, and friend and will be missed greatly by all lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, Colin is survived by his sister, Shannon Williams (Shaun) of Harvey; nephew, Brody Williams; nieces, Ember and Scarlett Williams; aunts, Gizele McCarthy (Mike), and Kimberly MacDonald both of Fredericton; uncles, Reginald Caissie (Doris) of Rogersville, and Chris MacDonald (Jane) of Saint John, as well as many cousins and extended family.
Colin was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Reginald and Carmel MacDonald; and his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Anida Caissie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. For those who wish, donations in Colin’s memory may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
