The recipe clearly says "Bread" but it produces a cake (although if you consider banana bread to be bread I suppose it's in that class.) It's using the sourdough in quick bread mode: ½ tsp baking soda + the acid in the starter is the leavening. But there are two things that really stand out: 1) you add a whole bunch of ingredients, split that batch, and then immediately bake with one of five portions. That's just... wrong. and 2) you are not left with any starter after which is sourdough anathema.
