Meeting with the Pride Elders Group Present Bruce Brown, Oriol, Judy Crump, Susanne Litke, Patrick (chair) Linda and Dan (notes) Adam: Festival 2020: we've been focussing on what the festival could be and how we can manage it. What's still possible? We still need innovative ways for our community to gather. Comedy shows / drag shows could be a combo of live and prerecorded events. Big things: What can we do to encourage people to get outside and celebrate? Bike rides? Kite flying? Is it possible to have a safe site? Blue Sky Possibilities: * Watch a movie together watch party ** maybe this month Love Scott ** maybe next month: You may also be interested in another new film, I Am Skylar, which was filmed in Cape Breton - https://www.nfb.ca/film/i-am-skylar/ ** Additionally NFB just released Beauty online - https://www.nfb.ca/film/beauty/ * No matter what we do, there'll be people who are comfortable and ones that are not, ones that can attend and ones that can't. * Meal together in Zoom * Salon really can go ahead - possibly with remote storytellers which we can't do in the in person ones ** this could be rebroadcast via Facebook ** To do the combo Zoom / Facebook, We'll need a tech person on hand to simulcast. * It would be nice to help the elders get zoom working on their computers. * Smaller gatherings in e.g. north end, south end * Drive-in show - bring the show to where elders live * Games night on Zoom - history trivia quiz? * For outdoor events we do need tents * Smaller gatherings * For some of us the last thing we want to do is another thing by zoom * History walk - Zuppa circus has been interest in this. Maybe combine content from ''Before The Parade' * Chair volleyball: chairs 6' apart * Chair yoga * Cooking show / healthy eating * Daily social distant yoga / aerobics, yoga for beginners, elders. Oriole: Accessibility: we could broadcast a zoom call over a Facebook page.
