Collection from the last Salon was $21.60. ===Ann Gorman=== Several board members will be attending Ann's funeral on Tuesday. BAREND will sign a sympathy card for the rest. ===Ten Year Anniversary=== BAREND will ask for suggestions brainstorming. Offical 10th anniversary gift: aluminum * Harbour Queen or Sylva Tour * Minivan out to Peggy's Cove * A Dance * Theme Up Pride 10th Anniversary Elder Hop * Winery Tour * Tour to Annapolis Royal (2h drive.) * What location within HRM is so connected with Gay men's history as Citadel Hill? How about some kind of tour of the Hill, with a Tea on the premises (or outside on the grass, weather permitting)? * Planting of an Elderberry Tree on some suitable location? (Not the Hill, of course, which I think is a federal park.) We could then in future years gather round it singing songs of praise to the Elderberry Mother! ===Speakers Bureau=== We're still looking for a coordinator for this. ===50/50 Draw=== How/who and when? Pauline suggested a couple times a year. We'd need someone to sell the tickets - until we have them, there's not much point talking about it. ===New Boardmembers=== DAN will write an enthusiastic letter to the members asking them to nominate themselves - including a description of the usual tasks. ===February's Program=== * Annual General Meeting * Carolyn Gesner: stories from up north
