In the meantime if anyone else knows of a group that would like to hear from us, let's do it. ===Women's Event=== The men on the board should *not* organize this. We should ask people what they'd like. PAULINE will compose an email to members asking what they'd like to do. Possible: coffee at the Glitter Bean DAN will add Pauline to the elderberries-all permission list. ===Programming=== * October: Plan A: Plan B: Round Robin on topics for the months ahead. * November: Dan talking about the Archives Project * December: Maybe 3-4 people from the Gay Men's Choir leading us in carols. White Elephant Gift Exchange. * January: round table of (cheerful!) stories from our romantic pasts. ===Fund Raising=== * Auction: some time in the new year, maybe February or March. * 50/50: MIKE and RICHARD will try it out * Purpose: travelling expenses to the GSA events. An event outside of Halifax. It's helpful to be able to tell people what the money is being collected for. We could also donate "extra" cash to some charity, e.g. Youth Project. For the 50/50 draw, we should tell people what the money's being used for, for example, travel costs to GSAs or other outreach events outside of the city. Do we need a cutoff of e.g. $1000 and give away money at the end of the year? Not necessarily. October's Board Agenda is generating income, and generating income. ===2019 Pride Salon Feedback=== * Different venue * Maybe on a weekend
