Editing 2011-09-26 Meeting

Elderberries Organizing Committee Meeting : September 26, 2011 Present: Kirk, Lynn, Anita, Norval, Nick, Dan (notes) August meeting minutes: approved. We have reserved SpencerHouse for every fourth Sunday between January and June. Refugee camp tour: didn't actually have any LGBT focus or speaker. Next event: Nadine Lapierre, mystery writer, will be speaking in Lynn's building. November event: nutritionist, healthy cooking for one or two. Lynn is still hunting for a speaker. Anita suggested Jessy Jollimore. LYNN will include a call for recipes in the next announcement - maybe out Saturday. December: NSRAP is going to host a non pot luck event. Advertising: should we have advertising in the newsletter? No, not right now. Elderberries Fundraiser: possibly a DJ'd dance, possibly around Valentines Day? We can put this off until next month. NSRAP Elders Committee: Nothing hasa been done with Northwood and the LGBT sensitivity training. Lynn will be meeting with them soon. Next meeting: Chez Nick & Tuma,Monday, October 24th. Notifying members: Nick suggested that we send out an email with a notice of *just* the meeting. Dan and Kirk suggested the Wednesday before. Events will also be listed in the newsletter. DAN & NICK will do a small survey - questions to be determined via discussion on the board mailing list. Tour of meeting room: excellent
