Hello cherished Elderberry!

Once again, this is a minimal format Newsletter whilst we're between Editors. We will be asking for volunteers for Newsletter Editor in the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime, if you're interested, just write back. The job is easy, is just a few hours a month, and you're part of a team.

July Elderberries Event

Your July Elderberries event is on July 17th, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, at the Bus Stop Theatre.

The event is the Gottingen Gathering, part of the Pride Week festivities. We'll be talking about history and the good, or bad, ol' days. Panel members include - there will be a few more: Lynn Murphy, Daniel MacKay, Jennifer Nearing, Tuma Young, Hugo Dann, Robin Metcalfe, Rosie Porter, and Mike Davies-Cole.

This will be an open discussion event: the audience will be participating in the discussion, both Elderberries members and, we hope, many people who were *not* there at the time but would like to learn what it was like.

The discussion will focus on the *places* where we used to hang out so you can start by thinking of your favourite places over the years.

Notice that this is the same day as the Bob Stead Memorial BBQ in Wolfville (particulars below.) We apologize for the conflict but... as with every summer, we need more weekends in the summer.

FOOD: DAN IS GETTING THE FOOD PARTICULARS AND WILL PUT THEM IN HERE

August Elderberries Event

As a special feature: that afternoon, the Shakespeare By The Sea company is presenting As You Like It at 1pm, as well as an evening performance of Pinocchio at 7pm, at the Battery. Admission is by donation.
