Place Names Discussion

Defining Moments Canada (DMC) has a project called Proud to Be: Queer Canadian Histories of the 1960s-1970s. They are creating a map of queer spaces across Canada for young people - junior and senior high school I think.

Topic: Places, spaces, that were important to the Q community in the 1960s and 1970s.

I anticipate inviting about 15 people. We will make it clear that we have limited room and will be creating a specificically diverse room.

Invitation list goals: representation from:

Invitation

We will be discussing and compiling a list of spaces, places, that were relevant to the LGBT community in the 1960s and 1970s.

If you have knowledge of Q spaces in Nova Scotia in the aulde days, please RSVP. We have to keep the group small and diverse so we won’t be able to have everyone who responds, at the table.
