Welcome New Boardmember

Welcome New Elderberries Boardmember!

This is an introductory note for new boardmembers and a refresher for, uh, old ones.

We do a lot of work by email, and we have most of our resources on line. I don’t want to overwhelm you so I’ll give you a bare bones:

Registry of Joint Stock Company Info

Firstly, we need to update the Registry of Joint Stocks to list you as a boardmember. For new boardmembers we need three pieces of information:

  1. your civic address (not your mailing address, but they're probably not too fussy about this)
  2. your middle initial
  3. not your employer, but your occupation ("Retired" is ok.)

You can check your information using this link.

Email Lists

There are a variety of email lists. The one you'll be using most often goes to all the boardmembers. To send a message to your fellow boardmembers, compose a message to

	elderberries-board@bonmot.ca

To reply-all to a Board note, you need to use the Reply-All function of your email package. Otherwise you reply just to the sender.

If you are curious about who gets those emails, this view of the database is the same list as the "board" mailing list. Notice that contact information is not shown there because you're not logged in.

Both that report, and the email list select people tagged "Board" in the Membership database.

Anyone can send an email to elderberries-board@bonmot.ca. Only people on a select list can use the "All" mailing list which we use for announcements & newsletters.

Library

There is an internal Boardmembrs Only library. It includes

Changes and access to the library are tracked by a voluntary username, and non voluntary IP number.

Here's the link to the Library. Any URLs which look like this are Elderberries internal only. Do not share.
