1. Request for member(s) to attend Halifax Pride Zoom consultation Thursday November 21, 6-8 pm. :
- Action : Lynn to attend and report back to the Board
- Note : I have now registered for this session
2. Volunteer Room Setup Coordinator needed :
- Action : Barend will write an e-mail appeal to the members
3. Symposium of Queer Atlantic Archives :
- Action : Dan reported on virtual Symposium held October 25-26.

- National conference planned for Halifax in 2026, likely at the Central Library, where space is booked
4. Canadian Heritage organization Defining Moments Canada is working on a project Proud to Be : Queer Canadian Histories of the 1960s and 1970s. Part of the project is creating a national map of places important to LGBT people of that time. To provide coverage of Nova Scotia, Elderberries (with a grant from Defining Moments) is hosting a gathering at the Universalist Unitarian Church on Inglis Street, November 27, 2-4 pm. A call for respondents with memories of that time brought forth only one female

- Action : Lynn will call or e-mail a list of seven women, more if time allows, and will also alert Cape Breton contacts to the project

- Action : Renee will alert members of the Women Next Door singing group
5. Support for Anita :
- Action : Barend will continue to visit and assure her of our support, and will also relay that Pauline would like to write to her, and is that OK.
- Note : Barend visited Anita this afternoon, and found her fairly calm and focussed. She OK’d the contact with Pauline.
6. Announcements :
- Barend re new gay pastor at St David’s United Church
- Lynn re meeting with researcher working on obituary of Patricia Martinson
7. Barend on new role with Board of HGMC :
- Action : He has made contact with a person active in GSA, who may help us expand our speaking engagements in the public schools, and will follow up
8. Spencer House invitation for Elderberries to speak at noon on Wednesday November 20 and then participate in a "Wellness Wednesday."
- Action: Dan will go, and invited the Speakers Bureau

- Note: it was remarked that the Speakers Bureau needs to be refreshed. No action defined at this meeting.

- A couple months ago, Northwood (contact: Kayla Dunphy) "Wellness" invited us to do an Ask Me Anything type event. Several Speakers Bureau people responded.

9. Planning future Salons :
- December 08 : White elephant exchange and carol sing January 12 : Board games (Kaitlin organizing?)
- January 26 : Invite Nathan Elling to speak about the first Halifax Pride march (Lynn organizing)
- February 9 or 23 : Volunteer group allied with the police does presentations on seniors and fraud
- DAN will contact the group that puts these things on to see when they're available
