One of the GSA Visits
Central Kings Wellness Day, senior high students
Nate writes: I had a wonderful time speaking to the kids at the school in the Valley. Stephanie was also very helpful in guiding me and telling her fascinating story. I think it would be fair to say we both wished there had been more kids but I had a lot of fun nonetheless. I hope to do it again sometime.
There were two sessions, the older kids’ session was about 3 kids, the teacher and his assistant, the younger kids session was about 5 kids then one more joined late, also 2 teachers. The teachers commented that the turnout was low but then also the kids mentioned that there hadn't been much participation in the Gay/Straight Alliance this year even though some kids who hadn’t joined were out.
I suggested a few marketing ideas to get more likely members involved but they were just off the top of my head so I don’t know if they’ll be effective.
