2023-10-18 Meeting

Present via Zoom: Dan (notes), Stephanie, Barend

New Boardmembers:

• Kaitlyn Drury - has volunteered to be on the events team
• Tanya Smith - new to Halifax, would like to get involved

Dan Motion: to put Kaitlyn and Tanya on the board. Seconded by Barend, motion passed.

DAN will set up a face to face Board lunch some time in the next week or so.

Stephanie:

• still working on the ATM Card
• we have about $500 in the bank
• the $338 income for the Used Book Fair, got locked up in a staledated cheque by the time we got everything straightened out.
• DAN will contact Erick and ask him to send the $338

We should plan for another fundraiser in February or so. The last one was in January 2021.

We do have a problem with the Salons: they are a lot of work and not many people attend.

Upcoming Salons

November: Maybe a reading of the new book, Walter Borden's _Last Epistle of Tightrope Time_

December: Christmas Event: Saturday, December 9, 8:00 - midnight

January: perhaps "whither Elderberries Salons?"
