- WHAT: Board meeting in Common Room, Joseph Howe Manor, Halifax
- WHEN: July 19th 7 PM
- PRESENT: Dan MacKay, Stephanie Brown, Barend Kamperman (notes), (Paul Pitre.)
No quorum was possible but we got some things done.
- I gave our Treasurer, Stephanie her new TD Bank ATM card
- I also passed on $23.00 in donations received at the 06/11th Salon
- We discussed who will coax who to be speakers at the Sunday July 30th Youth/Elders Storytelling (see email sent to all members for more info.)
- We also discussed how to deal with the TD Bank to get our new Treasurer what she needs to do our finances.
- I agreed to send emails to all members:- for volunteer speakers and for someone to be in charge of Zooms for us.
- We acknowledged that Richard Crooks has resigned from the Board.
- We decided to drop by Anita's.
Afterward Dan drove me to Anita's. She was home and looked fine. She'd received no more mail from the TD Bank. I asked her to consider being a speaker on July 30th, She was in the midst of a Zoom conference so couldn't talk for long.
Later I phoned Lynn Murphy and got her up to date on all I've written. I also asked her to speak at the July 30th event. She said she'd like to,but would need a drive from a member who'd drive her to and from there. Taxis would be too expensive. She's also keen on planning a Speakers Bureau get together and training session after Pride has finished.
