2022-05-08 Meeting

Present: Stephanie Brown, Kevin Dadouses, Lynn Murphy. Dan MacKay, Barend Kamperman Time 6 PM - 8 PM./ 2 hours.

In haphazard order they are:-

#1. Kevin Dadouses volunteered to take care of coffee and tea supplies for our physical Second Sunday Salons. (this would include coffee, teas, milk, sweeteners and sugar.)

• Any purchases he makes we will reimburse.Dan usually brings the cutlery, cups and napkins.
• If either is away. Arrangements will be worked out ahead of time. (Did we vote on this, or need to?)

#2 Adam Reid of Pride Halifax has not answered my email asking if Pride is continuing to boycott the Halifax Main Library. (No action was discussed or taken.)

#3.Endorsing the G.A.E. Creation story.

• ACTION: After much talk, it was motioned by Lynn and seconded by Stephanie that we endorse the creation of a document of the creating of the Gay Alliance of Equality. It was unanimously approved.

#4 How to Endorse the G.A.E. Origin Story. There were protracted deliberations.

• ACTION: It was motioned by X and seconded by Y that the Chair would send an email to the membership endorsing the creation of a G.A.E. Origin story and encouraging members to support it financially if they wish.
• This email would include a promotion and description of the project by Dan MacKay.
• And offering a link for donating funds for it, if any wish to do so.
• Four out of the five approved the motion, with Dan abstaining.

#5 Motion to Adjourn. Lynn? motioned we adjourn. Kevin? seconded the motion. ______________________________________________________________
