Lynn:
1. Feedback on Zoom meetings : when I e-mailed the membership asking who would be interested in a women-only Zoom meeting, I got only two answers. Not going ahead with this idea (surprise)! And the lack of another Zoom host, as Dan says, is also an issue. Zoom meetings give an opportunity for people outside Halifax to be active in Elderberries, e.g. Pauline, but not as many as I expected seem to be interested.
2. NSRAP on Board : I am slightly against, but it's a very slight preference and I also see advantages. I once filled this liaison position - not sure what, if anything, I accomplished.
3. School/GSA speaking : It seems to me that Pride's speakers' mandate is different from ours. What we have to offer is an elder perspective, and stories of the LGBTQ past as we experienced it. I would like to see Elderberries become more proactive in contacting schools and offering our services. Would also like to see a Speakers' Group get together and outline a few plans and principles. I would volunteer for such a group, if anyone else is interested. It might not have to be a lot of continuing work, but could well be an improvement over gathering together half a dozen of the same people every time. It would be good to draw in some of the general membership (and maybe find some potential future Board members among them).
4. Idea : Conference of all LGBTQ etc organizations in Nova Scotia. Didn't we do something similar once? I think Hugo coordinated it and NSRAP had a grant. Would there be any interest in doing it again? I have a dreadful feeling there was an Action Plan, much of which never happened, but still ....
Hmmm, when I began this e-mail, I didn't mean to burble on for three hours - sorry!

To move things forward, lets vote on the following:-
1. Let's (officially) thank Norval for representing us on the N.S.R.A.P. Board
2. We will postpone having separate womyn's salons until there is a demand for it and qualified people to run and moderate them
3. We will continue on with our own Speakers Bureau events virtually and/or physically with interested parties.
4. We will not appoint an Elderberries member to represent us at the N.S.R.A.P. Board.
5. We will not require an N.S.R.A.P. appointee to sit with our Board.
6. We will hold physical salons when and where safe and possible.
7. We will not guarantee a Zoom component to our physical gatherings.
