At Dan's Place.
Present: Anita, Dan (chair & notes), Barend, Lynn, Mike, Paula, Pauline.
One of the advantages of regular meetings, is that we meet when we don't really have a crisis on our hands, so we can think about long term plans and noncritical issues.
The main topic of this meeting will be the Archives Project. But first we'll get through some lesser stuff.
Last Salon
- we don't even have contact info for the presenter.
- DAN will publish information about prideHealth including how to connect to him and the programs that are available.
Next Month's Board Meeting Topic
Members' observations about how our meetings run. Preview:
- Out of control meetings: suggestion: have two chairs at each meeting.
At the beginning of each meeting
- We are on unceded Mi'kmag territory
- We are respectful of each other
- There is no talking over the whoever's speaking
- What else?
DAN will send around the link to the members' observations that Pauline collected for contemplation.

Main topic: Archives Project
The Elderberries wrote a letter of support for the project which then got funded, so we really have to do some support. Specifically, participate in the Community Advisory Committee (CAC). But:
Atlantic History & Archive Network (AHAN) has been around for 30 years doing very similar work and has about 10 people ready to go as a CAC.
We will invite all of the Elderberries to:
- become members of the CAC if they're interested in this work,
- volunteer in other ways,
- offer archival materials, and
- put us in contact with other folk, older folk, who might have materials.
- PAULA or ANITA will get Jane Spurr's contact to Dan - she'll have materials from the Turret years.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm
