[4] Bracketed numbers at the beginning of an idea count the idea from multiple people.
Do different
Space
- Since Dan can't recognize people, have specific instructions for them to find him and introduce themselves.
- [5] Bigger Venue
- Better seating
- [2] Space was too hot & humid
- Not very accessible
- Maybe think of the Library (Room 301 is good)
- Name Tags w/ pronouns for speakers and audience
Catering
- the food was divine but untenable - could we afford to do that again?
- announce the dedicated compost, recycle and garbage containers Compost is always dealt with in the kitchen (Not Out Front) ...Garbage/Recycle containers that can be seen. Our room was so packed it was difficult to see what was available.
- Bigger proportion of diabetic & heart healthy food Possibly cut back on the cheese and add more fruit...even though lots went in the compost at the end...we did not run out....
Speakers
- Getting the women didn't work out well at all. They all, every single one, except for Lynn, declined or backed out at the last minute.
Audience
- Guest Book "Add me to your list" list is almost usless for a number of reasons. Instead we should have had brochures and people could email *us.*
- Didn't get enough feedback. Should have had small feedback forms, a desk, and a box to put them in.
Tech
- Don't need the slideshow or the music (except at the beginning for fun)
- [3] wireless roving mic for quiet speaking people
- [2] put the projection screen behind the speakers and Dan brings up the encyclopedia page with photos as people discuss a particular topic
- Bring the god damned Elderberries brochures
Do the same
- The room, food, people, discussions, speakers ... everything was amazing, everyone involved did a wonderful job.
- [2] The 10 minute breaks every hour, e.g. sessions were 3:00 - 3:50
- Ask Me Anything buttons were good and good souvenirs. Next time could be distributed with the thank-you kits.
- the slide show
- no mics
