Comments on Hemmer Greist

Nancy Gregg (greggnancy at earthlink.net) writes: Just bought a box of sewing maching parts and an almost complete set of Greist hemmers and a partial set of Calicar hemmers were included. Both have the binder attachment and a flat shirring plate for each set. I have sort of figured out how the hemmers work but how does the binder work. If you have instructions available for either the hemmers or the binder or both I will be glad to pay for copies and shipping if you would share.

Hi Nancy, I have a set of Singer attachments and have an original manual that shows how the hemmer and the binder works for my singer machine. I can send you a copy at no charge so you can play around with what you have. I dont know what brand is your sewing machine.

I also bough this weekend a set of Greist hemmers ....just like you, almost complete and still I have to figure out how they get attached to my machine. I know Greist, John first name worked for Singer Corporation and is his invention that you and I now have. I wonder if these hemmers go on my Singer machine?........anyhow here is my email for the manual sa.ndstorm@hotmail.com

Cheers....Sandro
