On Relationships and lovers

by David LeBlanc

Been on all sides of being in, heading into, exiting, in between.
Thirteen lovers, a thousand crossings of paths, every race, religion,
princes, policemen… exchanging breaths, colliding muscle, sinew, bone, musk,
passionate tireless youth erupting hot lava on crisp linen, cooling into reflective pause.
Huge respect for those lovingly coupled, others single on occasion, seasonally, intentionally, suddenly. No rush.
Promised vows whispered,
lovers on every corner.
Honest ones on every seventh.
