Hi All,

Excuse the lateness of this response - just logged back into my old istar account after a few months. Wanted to update what I can.

I was the third call center salesperson hired at NSTN in November 1994. The second was Pam (can't remember her last name). I remember trying to convince people they should put their businesses online by creating or having a web site created and them asking me "Do you really think this internet thing is going to last?"

Janet Harding was hired right around the time ISTAR came into being. [[Jill_Griffen?]](I think last name is right) was hired to head up the call center, she worked right next to [[Gail_Wheaton?|Gail]] who did the billing. I don't recall Jill being there for very long. After Gail was "Let go" I got moved to Billing and I think [[Jay_Parsons?]] was the call center boss at that time. Somewhere in there Bev Whittaker was hired as a call center rep.

So, in billing Janet was the CFO, I was the billing administrator, Charles used to do accounts receivable I think. Tanya was there too as billing assistant and Peggy was a billing assistant. (I can't recall last names at this time.)

[[Sue_Snooks?]] used to get help from Maxine on the front reception desk.

That reminds me of when the billing folks were off in the newer section of the space, everything was winding down - people were being laid off and all this beautiful office furniture was coming in one door to decorate Dale's new office while whole groups of newly laid off people were leaving through the main entrance. It was beautiful furniture, I really liked working in there after Dale left.

Bev, Janet, Tanya and Charles all moved to the Ottawa office in November 1996 and Peggy and I decided not to take the move.

Well, that's all I can think of right now - oh yeah, I did see another iSTARER today. Does anyone remember Christian Hochold? He used to provide support in the early days. My recollection is that he got involved in another internet industry with the initials I.P. (not internet protocol). Well, he pulled me over today for "following too close" (which I wasn't by the way). Yep, he's one of Halifax's finest.
