Halifax Pics

Some time-exposure pictures - mostly 4 and 8 seconds, taken with my beautiful new-to-me Olympus E-300 digital SLR, on 2007-09-08. I was shooting with the the 14-45mm f3.5 -f5.6 lens with time exposures with the camera braced on the wharf and other objects - no tripod. It was a tiny bit hazy so there were some very nice lit-sky effects.

This is the refinery across the harbour in Dartmouth -- with a time exposure, almost anything is beautiful.

There were a couple of people walking across this scene -- they moved too fast even to make ghosts, but you can see a faint wiggly red line and a white one from a purse and a beltbuckle.

If this looks really weird to you, you've never seen the kid's TV show, Theodore Tugboat!
